2 preroasted tomatoes or one fresh tomato2-3 cloves garlic, peeled & halved 3 Tbsp. pine nuts or walnuts 2 Tbsp. olive oil 1 c. fresh whole basil leaves 1/2 c. freshly grated Parmesan 2 Tbsp butter, softened salt & pepper

Combine tomatoes, garlic, nuts, & oil in a blender. Process until just combined. Add a handful of basil & process again briefly; continue adding the basil in small amount until all is combined. Stir in Parmesan & butter. Season to taste with salt & pepper.
