Chris, aka Beer Chris, has been working hard to get the beer csa up and running. We grew a malting barley variety (Metcalf) for him last year.
Chris reports that he has now found a place to malt the barley. This involves sprouting the grain and then drying or Kilning it. He looked into having it custom brewed but is hoping to find a location to set up a small brewery of his own. Lorraine needs a bigger and more permanent space to make her sodas. We may combine the two if the right place is found.
