We are lucky that our well water and the water we irrigate from the canal with are of very good quality. There is still nothing like rainfall to make crops happy. These onions were visibly much bigger on Monday morning compared with last Thursday. We had a couple of inches of rain over the weekend, more than enough to make all the vegetables happy. It would be nice now to have a dry spell so that we can plant more crops from the greenhouse, sow more seeds and plant our wheat crop.
The first rains encourage the weeds to grow. When we get a dry spell we will be able to cultivate shallowly to kill these weeds and plant more crops.
