We will have lots of freshly ground flour at the market this Saturday in San Francisco. The boys and I can vouch for the following recipe. Give it a try with butternut squash pie this Thanksgiving.

1 cup Freshly Ground Eatwell Farm Whole Wheat Flour
1 cup white flour
1 1/2 sticks butter cut into small pieces
1/4 tsp salt
2 TB sugar
1 tsp vanilla
Juice from 1/2 lemon
2-3 TB COLD water

Add flour, salt, sugar and butter to mixer bowl ( I use the food processor). Blend to chop up butter. Slowly add liquids and mix until incorporated. Roll out as much as you can, cover refrigerate until chilled enough to work with. Finish rolling out and bake according to your pie filling recipe.
