Fernando is working his way through this pile of new pipe of sprinkler pipe we purchased. He checks the pipe, replaces the sprinkler head with a special type that we use (Nelson Windfigther) and checks the gasket that seals each pipe together.
Having enough lengths of pipe means that we do not have to move it so far each time a crop needs water. This saves so much time which can be better spent on the crops. So whenever pipe is offered for sale close by we do our best to find the money to buy as much as we can. This batch of 116 'sticks' came from Zamora. The cost for good used pipe is based on the new price, generally we have to pay between 1/3 and 1/2 of the new price. These cost $25 each.
