There is no longer any egg rationing for Eatwell Farm Members. You can get up to 4 dozen eggs as a regular order with each box. Special orders are available for more eggs. We have two new 500 layer flocks which are now starting to lay eggs. last Friday they laid 30 eggs in one day, this may not sound much but within four weeks they will lay 5 egg per week each. We will have more eggs at the market each week. We will also be resuming egg deliveries to Rainbow Grocery in San Francisco next week.
Jose and the farm crew hung more laying boxes in each of the house that these flocks live in. Today they will be moved on to fresh strawberry plants. They are eating the remains of last years strawberry patch. They make short work of the plants and love to search for bugs in the straw we laid between the rows.
