I do know how much our strawberry days are appreciated and a great deal of effort is put into making them better every year. This year we have moved over to using reuseable woven plastic to cover the beds and the pathways. We have also doubled the size of the beds. The other change you will see is that instead of completely covering the whole field we will use hoops over each bed with shade cloth just over the bed.
My hope is that this will improve the crop and our harvesting experience. So far I can report that the beds look great. The leaf size is good which means that the roots are going down and bringing up lots of nutrients for the plant.
