Yesterday was the birthday of Ginger Rose's first calf and also my mother, Thora. In her honor we have named the bull calf Thor. My Mum is delighted. Cow and calf are doing well. Yesterday he got some colostrum from Marylou which we had in the freezer. Ginger is being milked today for the first time and hopefully Thor will suckle her also. The colostrum of a first time cow is not as good as Marylou's.
Stella is very interested in what is going on in the pen next to her stable. It is exciting for everyone.
