I know this may seem a little silly but every time seeds germinate in the field I am always amazed. From a small hard round seed comes a very small delicate plant popping out of the soil surface. This miracle gives me great pleasure. These beds were prepared roughly right after the rain stopped. We used our spring tine cultivator to tickle the surface into which we sowed the seeds. It worked well, not perfect germination but these beds will produce vegetables for our boxes in April.
