P1010017The Rose Geranium survived the winter well but is growing slowly so far. The roots were damaged by the 24 F cold we experienced in January. I was surprised to see it grew at all this spring as I thought I could find no part of the plant that survived. I was proved wrong but it did take a beating. We have since hoed and irrigated these beds so we expect they will now come back to life.
We grow this crop primarily for the organic cosmetic industry. They use it in organic products such as shampoos, lotions, cleansers and other facial products. Some of our customers include Benedetta  Fresh Aromatherapy www.benedetta.com and Primafleur www.primafleur.com

We also sell the Rose Geranium essential oil to an Organic Patisserie in San Francisco www.miettecakes.com
