These were planted in late October and we hope to start picking delicious strawberries in mid April. These plants replaced a failed planting in August. This is when we normally plant but the weather did not help us and up to 80% did not survive. I am hoping that the new planting time of October will yield well for us and we can switch all our planting to this time.
Every May we open the farm to our members for some special Strawberry picking days. These are always so much fun and a great way for our box members to visit the farm. For details of how to sign up for these days please watch your newsletter with your box. Unfortunately due to demand these days are only open to members of the farm.
