Our big heavy disk does need fine tuning every weeks or so. It weighs in at 3500 pounds and we make sure at the disks and cultivators are adjusted to better than 1/4 inch. The reason is quite evident when you look down the row at the cultivator and see it pulling the tractor to the right or left depending what is out of line. This does mess up our bed positions but also puts stains on welds which are expensive to repair.
So we have a weekly inspection to make sure all is well. Luckily Wellco Fabrication is just two miles down the roads. Ron and his crew fix all that we break in a timely fashion.
