Jenny and Joe have been missing from farm events for a year now. Just behind Joe , Lorraine is holding the reason why...Georgia who is 16 months old. At our first Tomato sauce party this couple came with a set-up which intimidated most of us. Joe simply maintained that he is Italian and very serious about Tomato sauce. We hope to have a video ready soon of Joe making sauce.
A big thank you to all who came to the farm to make sauce from the summer harvest last weekend. The tomatoes that we all use to make sauce are ones that are over ripe or have some defect like a mark, misshapen or sun burnt. We just cut away and make sauce. This is a great way to enjoy tomatoes in January without the guilt of flying them in from Mexico or from Florida.
